Oasis
I finished “Oasis” from the magazine “Puntorama Ganchillo” issue #229. Even though the magazine appears to be distributed primarily in Mexico and Venezuela , this pattern was designed by Fujiko Takagi and has a distinctive flavor characteristic of many other Japanese designs I’ve seen. The finished product measures about 29 inches in diameter and I’m really pleased with how it came out. It will be a housewarming/engagement present for an awesome seismologist/educator/nice person extraordinaire.

This is so beautiful. I love to crochet too. I have one similar that my grandmother made and I made four myself the size of coasters. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks darlynnc! These doilies are just too addictive to resist.
Wow that seismologist/educator/completely nice person is sure lucky. I understand she is finishing up soon! If it's the person I'm thinking of????
Wow!!! Shadow and I think that is gorgeous!!! She told me she's thinking of the many ways in which she can spread her cat hair all over it. :) I on the other hand am admiring it's beauty. Fabulous job dah-ling!
Bug's mom might be getting the next one now that I'm sure I can finish these things... Hopefully I can finish in time!
