Yarn Tourism: Columbus
Can I really call it yarn tourism in my place of birth? I say yes based on the address listed on my California driver's license. I stopped by at the Knitter's Mercantile this afternoon for a quick visit on my way to a previously scheduled encounter. Was it as lovely as I remember it from 6 months ago? Yes it was. I picked up some of my favorite ever multi-purpose yarn(Nashua Creative Focus superwash wool), and a few sale silk skeins for a new moebius.

Sockeye Moebius
This moebius scarf was made for Crowe using Lamb's Pride Worsted from the sockeye salmon... It came out rather well.

New Favorite Yarn
(image ganked from birds and yarn)
I don't usually work with DK weight yarn (I'm not British!) But I am making an exception here. It's very economical and absolutely gorgeous. Be on the lookout for Fern Glade from the latest Knitty.

Rifle Cozy... Complete!
I think I may have a touch of something, and shouldn't be wasting time posting about my knitting projects, but I was excited about finishing this guy! I plan to write up the pattern over x-mas break at some point.
Detail of the flap.
The only idea I had for showing the whole thing... it measures 6 inches wide by 40 inches long to fit the rifle specs I got from my Uncle Sonny. Hope Dad likes it.

Random Picture
This was an oddly painted tractor at Casa de Fruta near Gilroy where I stopped to avail myself of the facilities on my way home from Bakersfield. The Casa de Fruta experience was kind of lame and overpriced, but I liked this combo of blue, green, and orange.
