Hooded Scarf

It still needs to be blocked... Remind me to do that before I leave Ohio.

Yarn Tourism: Columbus

Can I really call it yarn tourism in my place of birth? I say yes based on the address listed on my California driver's license. I stopped by at the Knitter's Mercantile this afternoon for a quick visit on my way to a previously scheduled encounter. Was it as lovely as I remember it from 6 months ago? Yes it was. I picked up some of my favorite ever multi-purpose yarn(Nashua Creative Focus superwash wool), and a few sale silk skeins for a new moebius.

Sockeye Moebius

This moebius scarf was made for Crowe using Lamb's Pride Worsted from the sockeye salmon... It came out rather well.

Fulling advice?

I knit a hat (100% wool) for my brother that looks as though it would be too big for Magilla Gorilla. My brother is not a gorilla. Any ideas on felting/fulling it? I already started by hand, but it just keeps getting bigger!!! Ack!!!

New Favorite Yarn

(image ganked from birds and yarn)

I don't usually work with DK weight yarn (I'm not British!) But I am making an exception here. It's very economical and absolutely gorgeous. Be on the lookout for Fern Glade from the latest Knitty.

orange

Orange makes me happy, usually. I think I need something stronger today.

Rifle Cozy... Complete!

I think I may have a touch of something, and shouldn't be wasting time posting about my knitting projects, but I was excited about finishing this guy! I plan to write up the pattern over x-mas break at some point.

Detail of the flap.
The only idea I had for showing the whole thing... it measures 6 inches wide by 40 inches long to fit the rifle specs I got from my Uncle Sonny. Hope Dad likes it.

Random Picture

This was an oddly painted tractor at Casa de Fruta near Gilroy where I stopped to avail myself of the facilities on my way home from Bakersfield. The Casa de Fruta experience was kind of lame and overpriced, but I liked this combo of blue, green, and orange.

Banana Slug Socks

This is my first attempt at 2-at-a-time socks, I don't think I like it. I prefer double pointed needles, I get nasty laddering with circs as you can see above... These are for me though, so I'm not being too picky.
