I saw Coraline when it opened last weekend and was so inspired I stopped by Palace office and art supply next door to the theater and grabbed some fimo clay on my way home. As it turns out, I am not very talented with the clay and rendered a few into very crispy critters, in the process raising concerns over phthalate levels in my apartment. But after a few tries I had made some acceptably cute planktonic foram stitch markers. Since I crammed the sharp ends in before curing, there is nothing to snag the knitting!(US 6 needles for scale)
