Yarn Tourism: Felton?

Now I know what you're thinking, can you really call it tourism if you only drive 6 miles to Felton? I say yes. Any store other than home base is considered a foreign destination to me. So I have conducted my usual photographic reconnaissance of Luminous Threads in Felton, CA. They had lots of stuff in the 40% off area, and I picked up some Arucaina sock yarn, which I will share at a later date.

For those of you left wanting more, I will be visiting Classy Knits and Yarns next week in Bakersfield.

At this point I consider a trip to the grocery store BY MYSELF to be a vacation destination to be enjoyed. So, there's no reason you can't go ahead and feel as if you're "touring" different yarn worlds. I know I would b/c that would be like a five star resort for me. :) LOL

They have a nice variety of yarns without too much novelty yarn. There's a rug hooking room in the back. The prices were reasonable. That shouldn't be a big surprise, the town has changed tremendously since lived there in the early 80's. But the business's all still close up early at night which is hard on folks that like to stay up late and party in the pool.
